We yield tall quality teaching in a caring and challenging learning environment in which students feel safe and supported to achieve their best. Importance is placed on setting high expectations for all learners, valuing our cultural heritages, respecting others and taking responsibility for one’s own learning and positive behavior choices. Coral Park is dedicated to providing a wide variety of programs designed to ensure learning is enjoyable, engaging and apropos for all students. As a piece of the implementation of KidsMatter, our school runs a number of different lunch clubs to involve students in laughter and exciting activities and build relationships with diverse teachers and students. Every second Friday, instead of a entire school assembly, every grade in the school participates in a 'Buddy Grade' activity, where the focus is on implementing a social and emotional learning program. It is an engaging writing program that is based around talk time. We are looking for any parents with Occupied With Children’s Checks to assist in the morning sessions from 911am with literacy and cutting up our fruit for Crunch and Sip.’ Any parents, who would love to be a part of our learning in the Prep rooms, please talk with your child’s teacher and let them know your availability. Our reading sessions will continue, with students taking segment in Reader’s Workshop activities focusing on AF strategies and activities. In Literacy we will build knowledge and skills about our workshops including reading and writing, building students' stamina in both areas and deepening their understanding. Students will be given the opportunity to interrogate and explore the world around them, expanding their scientific understanding. Student Leaders attend meetings, training, urge the school values and messages within the school, assist in the school office and canteen and plan and implement fund raising. These sessions are also supplemented with our junior, middle and senior sport program that is conducted once a week with classroom teachers. As with our Physical Education program, our students participate in a weekly session that focuses on all elements of The Arts. Within preps and juniors, the students will participate in a play based program where they can explore, experiment and make meaning. Our students learn Indonesian as a second language with their classroom teachers on a day to day basis.
