Our Little Stars preschool program is a 3step curriculum for 25 year colds developed by capable early childhood educators, dance teachers and an educational psychologist.

For the former 25 years, Cathy Lea has been an innovative leader in performing arts education, offering Dance, Music and Drama classes to students of all abilities from preschool to adults. Classes are offered in the internationally recognized Cecchetti method of classical ballet training. Our Hip Hop teachers have trained in USA, at various Melbourne studios and are vogue industry professionals, performing in crews and at events around Melbourne. Classes include development of skills in each field as healthy as the preparation of scenes form musical theater productions. Each class consists of roughly 20 minutes focusing developing foundation skills in each style. 25 years on, Cathy Lea still offers the works in performing arts education from teachers who are experts in their fields, be it Dance, Music or Drama. She has directed plays, musicals, Rock Eisteddfods, dance productions, concerts, cabarets and community performances. In 2015 alone, Cathy Lea students performed in Disneyland Cong Kong and competed in an international Hip Hop competition, finishing in the top 14 in the world in their division! Several of our graduates also pursue careers in performing arts education with some owning their own studios and busy in schools. Thanks to this, she really enjoys musical theater, and loves to run around the house singing. Cathy and her staff taught me so much more than impartial a love and passion for dance. Cathy Lea is elated of its extraordinary teaching faculty, all of whom are highly capable teachers and performance professionals. Cathy is the mother of 5 children, one of whom has special needs, and she is passionate about providing opportunities for children of all abilities. Her solo students regularly triumph championships and scholarships in Tap and Jazz. She is also an examiner for Southern Federation of Dance and has been examining Ballet and Tap students all over Australia for the end six years. She completed studies in FD Tap and Jazz, as healthy as Cecchetti Ballet. As the mother of two young children, Kyle is passionate about bringing a love of dance to children she teaches. She has 6 years of teaching experience at Cathy Lea teaching Jazz, Tap and Ballet across a range of levels, specializing in Preschool classes. He is now completing his Bachelor of Music Education. Julie trained at Cathy Lea, completing exams to top levels in Classical Ballet, Tap and Jazz. She has honest completed a Bachelor of Education majoring in Dance and Mathematics and now works as a lesser school teacher but tranquil finds time to teach at Cathy Lea! Monique was a highly awarded soloist at eisteddfods. Thalia Lewis began training at Cathy Lea at the age of 3 in our preschool program and went on to train with our Elite Training Program for many years, performing in troupes and as a soloist at many events. After completing 2 years’ training at the Ministry of Dance, she has become a professional commercial dancer and has performed with Boss Dance Company and Tenacity Dance crew.
